Clyther is truly a Proverbs 31 woman!
Her vision for “Da 1 Above” started in 1999. She saw an environment where the needs of the whole person could be met, “A Place of Peace”. Her clientele would be diverse... like a little bit of heaven. Where the beauty she created on the outside could be nurtured by the prayers she surrounds her clients with.
How She Was Trained
Her aunt (Freddie Smith, of World Vision College of Cosmetology) owned 3 beauty colleges, and inspired Clyther to go to cosmetology school. Going to school part time while working in the tech industry proved challenging, so she began school full time to follow her vision.
While on her first job, she met Albert Clayton, who has become her mentor, her brother, her friend, her confidant, and has taught her the real meaning of healthy hair.
